This is an original genuine 1964/65 Porsche 904 engine.
587/3 Engine built using a NOS blank 904 case - no serial number. 2000cc plain bearing motor
Completely restored/rebuilt 2019 to make sure it is right for the new owner
0 miles on the engine since rebuild, no previous racing as this car is only used for street driving
The only reason for the sale is we found the matching number engine for our car and we do not go racing so the extra engine is of no use to us. Was mounted in a perfect 904 but now out of car on a stand.
Engine is sold complete and in running condition, the Weber 46mm carburetors do not go with the engine but we will replace them with Weber 48mm carburetors. The 904 air cleaner and exhaust are also not included as they will be used on the other engine. All other items such as flywheel, distributors, fan, sheet metal and peripheral items that one would expect an engine to have are included.
